Intento is a home-screen launcher published by Idealize s.r.l. This page explains what data the app touches, why, and — most importantly — what happens to it.

The short version

Intento does not collect or share data with its publisher. It has no analytics, ads, account, or direct network communication. Data stays on your device unless you explicitly create a configuration backup in a location you choose.

What Intento stores on your device

The following is stored locally. Only the configuration items described below are included when you explicitly create a backup:

• App list and preferences — which apps you've pinned, hidden, sorted, or renamed; your gesture bindings; appearance settings.
• Presets — the app-launch profiles you create, their schedules, and any Bluetooth device identifiers or Wi-Fi network names you choose as activation triggers.
• Launch journal (opt-in) — a local log of when you opened which app, used for the "mindful usage" screen-time features.
• Notification history (opt-in) — if you enable notification badges, Intento reads notification titles/text via Android's Notification Listener API to show unread counts and, optionally, keep a short local history. This is excluded from Android's automatic backup so it can't be copied off the device even via device transfer or cloud backup.

Special permissions, and why

Intento asks for a few permissions that Android treats as "special access," each tied to a specific opt-in feature and off by default:

• Notification access — powers optional notification badges on the home screen. Notification content is read on-device only, to compute a count and optionally show a local history; it is never uploaded anywhere.
• Usage access — powers optional screen-time statistics and per-app timers, computed entirely on-device from Android's usage stats API.
• Nearby devices — lets you choose an already paired Bluetooth device as a preset trigger and detect its connection. Intento does not scan for nearby devices.
• Location and nearby Wi-Fi — Android protects the connected Wi-Fi network name as location-sensitive information. Intento uses these permissions only to read that name for a preset trigger; it does not scan nearby networks, collect coordinates, or request background location.
• Exact alarms — used to activate scheduled presets at the times you configure.
• Boot completed — used to re-register those scheduled alarms after your device restarts.

Each of these is off until you explicitly turn it on in Settings, and can be revoked at any time from Android's system settings or from within Intento.

Configuration backups

If you create a manual backup or enable scheduled backups, Intento writes a file to the folder or storage provider you choose through Android's system file picker. It can contain launcher settings, installed-app package names, the Home background image, preset schedules, Bluetooth identifiers, and Wi-Fi network names. It excludes notification history, the launch journal, unlock counts, and usage statistics. Intento does not encrypt the file; protection and any network transfer are handled by your chosen storage provider.

Third parties

Intento does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting SDKs. A storage provider receives a configuration backup only if you choose that provider and explicitly save or schedule the backup.

Children's privacy

Intento is a general-purpose home-screen launcher and is not directed at children. The publisher does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the update will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date.
